“Ambulance” is an upcoming American action-thriller film directed by Michael Bay and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Eiza González in the lead roles.
The story follows two thieves, played by Gyllenhaal and Abdul-Mateen II, who hijack an ambulance with a critically injured police officer as their hostage. As they attempt to escape the city, they find themselves pursued by the police and in a race against time to get the injured officer to a hospital.
The film is a remake of the Danish film “Ambulancen” from 2005, and it has been described as a high-octane action thriller with intense car chases and explosive set pieces, which are signature elements of Michael Bay’s films.
The film also stars Garret Dillahunt and A Martinez in supporting roles. “Ambulance” is set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2022.
